Remember 26/11

One of the worst days in the Indian History, that showed the lack of security Mumbai. Exactly three years ago terrorists struck Mumbai and left 166 people dead and the entire country in grief. The one among the terrorists Ajmal Amir Kasab was not yet executed. Also for his security reasons alone cost around Rs.5 crore. What is the need for protecting a terrorist who was also responsible for the dead of 166 innocent publics of Mumbai?

Here are some voices that were affected by this incident and still waiting for the justice:
Devika Rotwa, a 13 year old girl studying in Class VIII is the youngest eye witness of the incident. She was shot in her right leg by two terrorists at CST. But she and her family shifted her house four times in these three years as their neighbor often complain and fear for their lives due to the presence of Devika and family around them. Kalpana Shah one of the next victims lost her husband Pankaj in the attack at The Oberoi Hotel.

Not only these two, but many people are there out in Mumbai and other parts of India who are attacked by terrorism. But the justice is not yet met for the lives that lost in the attack. This shows the judicial flaws and time taken for a justice to be met and also the Indian Security system that are to be revised in time.
Let’s pray for the rest of the soul of innocents who lost their lives and hope justice will be met.

First Office Outing

The first Day Out through CAT at MGM Amusement Park, Chennai. This is my first outing in office after joining in Cognizant with my colleagues. Not only for me, also for many dudes. I thank the Academy for giving us a wonderful and memorable day. The moment I stepped down at the entrance of MGM seeing the mass, it remembered me the college days where we went to Vega Land and Wonderland. Those days won’t come back.

All my batch mates moved to the entrance of the park through the crowd pushing each other and shouting in excitement of our first CAT’s Day Out. We were welcomed with Maza. We entered and went to some games and had some fun. Then we had a good lunch organized by our Company through buffet system. We had some variety of foods. I also found my favorite item Ice Cream. We had enough food.

We marched towards the wet park and entered the pool and had some fun.  Then we took some photographs. We also enjoyed a dance show. We had some snacks at the evening and we returned back.

The whole day was full of fun and here and there my college memories flashed back. Really, I missed my college friends. Anyhow, I was not left alone by my folks at MGM. I thank them for being with me, and made it memorable. Also thanks to Cognizant for arranging this Day Out program. Hope you too enjoyed.

I’m Unique…

“I believe that every person has uniqueness — something that nobody else has.” What a quote!!! Everything is unique in this life. We can’t see anything or anybody duplicated in this life.  Our Galaxy is unique. Our Solar System is unique. Earth is unique. But why, we people always try to imitate others.
We always try to be like others. For example, I wish to walk like Rajnikanth or I wish to sing like A.R.Rahman. But why don’t we try to be ourself. We are unique in this universe, and we are all blessed with some unique characters. Why shouldn’t we try to find our own uniqueness?

We begin to cherish ourself only when we begin to cherish our “Originality”.  It seems the plum fruit once said, just because a banana lover came by; it converted itself into a banana.  Unfortunately, his taste changed after a few months and so it became an orange.  When he said it was bitter it became an apple, but he went in search of grapes.  Yielding to the opinions of so many people, it has changed so many times that it no more knew what it is. How much it wished it had remained a plum and waited for a plum lover.

Every seed has in it the potential to become a forest, every rock has in it the potential to become a statue, and every human has in him the potential to become a Legend.  And, we are that sleeping legend.  Wake up to the sleeping potential within us.

We should always cherish ourselves with what we are blessed; as our uniqueness alone will take us all to the state called “Legend”. So let us find our own uniqueness and cherish it and be a Legend of our own.

Is Manipur out of India?

We are proudly telling ourselves as Indians. But what is there to be as proud of our country as the people are not yet able to full fill their basic needs. I think we the people of India are more concerned about the price hike of Petroleum products, Jewels and major interest on the Stock Market crisis. Aren’t we starving without food? Aren’t we using the petroleum products because of the rate hike? Aren’t we using electronics accessories though there is a scarcity in the power supply? The answer is “No”. We are having food deliciously, if not atleast having sufficient food. We are travelling by bike and car comfort. Also we are using all the electronic gadgets.

Don’t forget Manipur also belongs to our country. The people of Manipur are also paying taxes. They should also be treated equally as others of India. They are sleeping in dark because most people of Manipur are not provided with electricity at night. They are paying Rs.200 for petrol/liter. Even though they are ready to pay the prescribed amount by retailers, petroleum products are not yet available. Nearly 100 days are over and the petroleum products are out of stock. Also the rate of LPG is Rs.1500.Then what is the state government or central government doing.

Is this the state of a Democratic country, India? These may happen to any other State of India. So be conscious. Atleast we should spend our valuable time on choosing the government or the Government is on track.

Diwali, I missed

Nearly 300 students are studying in our trust “Do or Die” which is located at Athikode, Palakad (DT), Kerala where we are giving tutoring them subject knowledge, current affairs and some computer basics. I belong to Karur (DT), Tamil Nadu. But somehow God plans us to meet some personality who inspires us a lot. One such personality is Mr. John Benedict who is the president of the trust Do or Die and a former Cognizant employee. I joined hands with him in educating the students through our trust. Also, the children of trust call me ‘brother’ wholeheartedly.

The children of our trust haven’t celebrated Diwali in a grand way as they celebrated this year. They don’t even know the number of variety of crackers available and the sweets as well. But from this Diwali they also came to know the varieties. Some friend of my trustee came to our trust at the day of Diwali with all varieties of crackers that costs around Rs.5000 and all available sweets.

John told me that our trust children celebrated this Diwali in a grand way that they haven’t celebrated before. One of the trust’s kids Glory said, “Brother! Why haven’t you come to our trust for this Diwali? You were with us on other days. But on this day you haven’t come to see us. We missed you a lot Brother.” After hearing this unknowingly tears rolled down from my eyes because they love me that much.

Yeah I too really missed them a lot. Hopefully, I should be there for next Diwali. I don’t know God’s plan…

Art of Choosing

Once I read an article written by Mrs.Shenna Iyengar, an Indian born American who is famous for the term “Art of Choosing”. From the article I read she explained clearly how people differs in selecting the ‘Choices’, in particular selecting a single choice from more number of choices. On the other hand we can say how they get confused by others when they ask opinion from others regarding the selection of choices. When we are given with only one choice then we have no other way rather than accepting that choice.

Hopefully we should mould ourselves to be happy with the choice we are given with. Some people call it as a ‘Destiny’ too. But what happens when the number of choices is more? For example buying a best laptop from the available brands. Some people say Samsung will be a good lap and some other recommend HP, Sony, Dell, Apple, etc. But we should be aware that they are suggesting or recommending us based on their view.

Some people are certain in giving the best choice for the welfare of others. For example when you ask the people of Japan they will recommend you to have lime tea which will be good for health. When you ask the people of South India, they will ask you to have coffee in morning and tea in evening. When you ask the people of China, they recommend you to have Soup instead of Tea which is helpful in maintaining your diet.

No matter how closely we are attached to a person who might be our best friend, parent or sibling, the choice might differ. Whomever you ask, they will give their best choice either by using it or recommended by someone. So we will be confused as we are not able to make a good choice. So when the choices are more, we are confused totally. This is applicable in many circumstances and we should be aware of making a good choice.

So, Please be clear in the choice that we are making and don’t point at others’ nose when their choice went wrong. So we better make the choice by ourselves than running our life on other’s track….

Memorable High School Life

I joined in Kongu Vellalar Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Karur. I joined with the appreciation of the former principal Mr. Shanmugasundaram as I did my entrance exam well. The early school days went nicely. I studied at my old school building. I used to go to that school by bus. For the first time I went to school by bus. Days passed. One day when the bell rang in confusion I entered into my senior's class and shocked as there were no friends of mine. I came out of that class quietly. That incident introduced me to my seniors.

After a few months, we came to new school building. I got friends Ramesh Kumar, Naveen, Karthik. B & N, Sindhu, Shanmugapriya, Rangarajan, Sudershan, Santhosh, Mahesh, Pradeep, Lathifa, Sidharthan and so on. Also I met two gem people, my staff Mr. D.Senthilnathan, Principal and Physics staff and Mrs.Karpagam, Zoology staff. I'm able to remember an incident were I was caught hold off by my English staff when I tried to show answer for my friend. Ha ha.. How happy it is ti recollect that..

Another happy moment in my school day is that we were asked to imitate like our class staff. Everyone imitated a staff. I still remember my friend Lathifa imitated like the Physics sir and we laughed like nothing. To reduce his pressure he would beat his forehead with a duster. My God now itself it make me to laugh. Also Ramesh used to sing the song "sarkarai nilave" from the film Youth, which is my favorite song and this song remembers our friendship whenever I hear to this. Sudhersan used to tell us adventurous stories by reading it in books and the whole boys were sitting around him to hear the story. Also I played formy school in Kho-Kho team at Zonal level.

My another great friends are Vinoth Kumar, Arularasi. They are brothers and sisters. They were shuttle players. I and Vinoth used to talk about cartoons. Then Sangeetha joined in my class. She talked to me for the first time and borrowed my note to copy as she joined after a week the school was started. Fortunately she was staying with her family near to one of my sister's house. Then we were friends. Her handwriting was too good at that time. Also we used to fight for chilly reasons. Sindhu used to compromised us.

When I was studying 10th Std, during Sunday special class, I was sent by my sir to my Botany staff's home (Mrs.Latha) and asked her to come as fast as possible. I went there and ma'm was cooking Poori, my favorite and I was convinced by ma'm to eat it and I started eating. Then Sindhu was sent to see me, also joined at Botany miss' home in eating. Then came Sangeetha and saw us eating Poori. Then we all went back to class and she told everyone that we were eating Poori. Everyone including Sir laughed at us. Still I'm able to recollect it. Thanks my God.

Then I joined at CSE department at P.A.Vidhya Bhavan Higher Secondary School. I used to go by bicycle to reach my college bus stop. My primary school frined Sathish Kumar, matriculation school friend Sangeetha also joined there. There we shouldn't speak to girls and vice-verse. One day I was studding outside the class with my friend. She came in a line and while crossing me, she said "Hey, are you coming to tour?" I said "it's only for Biology students" and she went to her class. Everyone suddenly watched me and my friend shouted "Dai, he is talking to a girl" and I was shocked.

I also remember that I stood up to ask a doubt to my Physics ma'm, my friend Tamil Vanan and I laughed suddenly and ma'm scolded us. I also had friend's Karthik, Rajganesh, Anburaj, Sadhasivam K&N, Karthikeyan, Vijay Kumar, Ashok, Arun, Bharathi, Sidharth(my school friend), Kamal and so on.

One of the unforgettable and memorable incident was that I was beaten by a maths sir in the Lunch break. We shouldn't speak at that period and I asked water bottle to my friend. He saw that I was talking. He called me and questioned me and I answered in high tone. He was short tempered and he is shorter than me and he jumped and tried to slap at my face and I stepped back and he was not able to balance. At that instant my friend's laughed at him. He was very angry on me and somehow jumped and slapped me. I cried but that incident is still memorable in my heart and that news had spread throughout the college. Also I teased him with a new name "Jambulingam (Jumper)". I went to school  in school bus we were usually caught hold by a lady conductor for shouting in bus.

One of the saddest moment happened in my 12th life was that my dad met with an accident while I was studying at school by staying in hostel. I was totally out of sense and was rejected by my friends as I was a leader of true hostel. Whatever the mistake I had done, though I realized in between, no one was ready to keep me as their friend as they saw me as a leader and not as a friend. Almost I used to cry for two reasons and hated my hostel life, first my dad met with an accident and I was not able to see him whenever I wish and second I had no close friend. Anyhow the days passed on....
